per 25 review(s)The Lumatek Electronic Ballast Lighting Systems produce up to 30% more lumens than a standard core and coil (magnetic) ballast while drawing less electricity. The Lumatek ballast is completely silent (no buzzing) and produces less heat than a standard ballast. Because of Lumatek's soft start technology, the lamps can last up to three times longer. Test data has shown that a Lumatek 600 watt ballast produces within 5% of the usable light of a 1000 watt core and coil ballast! Electronic ballasts also do not degrade like standard ballasts do. Over time magnetic ballasts become louder, produce less light, emit more heat, and use more electricity. Electronic ballasts maintain their efficiency throughout their life span. All Lumatek ballasts are voltage specific except for the 600w Dual Voltage ballast - this means that they must be run at the voltage that they are made for. By being voltage specific, each ballast is tuned to run at peak performance - this means that Lumatek Electronic Ballasts put out about 10% more light than other digital ballasts. All Lumatek ballasts feature a detachable lamp and power cord for ease of use and setup. They will all run either M.H. or H.P.S. bulbs (with the exception of 600w which will run H.P.S. bulbs only.) Lumatek Lighting Systems carry a 3 year replacement warranty + a 2 year pro-rated warranty (1 year on the bulb). All Lumatek Lighting Systems carry our Xclusive Replacement Warranty to ensure that you are always up and running.

Have now used my Digital ballast for one season now and is exactly what I wanted. This being my first system, I have never experienced the ballast buzzing problem, but I can say not a peep from this digital unit. I hope its longevity makes me as happy.

Bought a 400wt first,loved it so much,I got a 1000wt then I got two more 1000's I love em they are very Quiet, Room stays cooler too! No more magnetic ballasts for me unless these digital ballasts do not last. we'll see.

these ballast cost more but pays you back by using less energy but gives more lumens. less heat so less ac usage. very light so you can hang them on the wall. i just hope sunsystems and hydrofarm come out with digital ballast too. what will they think of next?

Just set up the 600W 240V with LumeWing Reflector. I can not believe how light, small, quiet and cool this ballast is. I will never buy a coil ballast again. DH has the BEST service and prices!!!!

I bought the 120v 600w HPS also with the hortilux bulb an the lumenair 8 reflector this system runs cooler than my 400w and is as bright as a 1000w it's by far the best thing around. An you can't beat DH's prices this same system any were else will run you $600 or more. BUY IT FROM DH A MUST HAVE!!!

Silent! This much light from a 600?! Wow... worth the extra cash when compared to a mid-range magnetic ballast; fast warm-up, and REALLY bright! Buy it, and you won't be disappointed.
